While a site represents the constituent properties of a place - its mass, space light, duration, location and material processes - place represents the practical, vernacular, psychological, psychic, social, cultural, ceremonial, ethnic, economic, political and historical dimensions of a site.
What emerged was a discourse on our society's fascination with the urban myth. Post-industrial fables that have a tendency to replicate at an alarming rate and can archive global impact. Out of the context of memory, site and place, local culture became fertile ground for a suite of contemporary mythologies based on hearsay, stories and manufactured truths that nonetheless containedmoral imperatives.
